Celebrating Our JustFund Community

Dear JustFund Community,

I’ve been reflecting on Women’s History Month and thinking about the many women who broke barriers, in particular in the field of technology. As a female tech founder of color, I am acutely aware that women – particularly women of color — continue to be underrepresented in this field. While we have a long way to go to bring in the innovation, creativity, vision and leadership of women in technology, JustFund and its vibrant community give me hope for a very different future. I am grateful to be innovating and experimenting alongside the incredible JustFund team, introducing new, powerful solutions that center equity in our giving systems.

As I shared earlier this month, our community reached a huge milestone: we have moved over 210 million dollars to our communities that need it most with 119 million leveraged as secondary grants. Our solution built on the nation’s first common app platform is working!

When JustFund launched in 2017, we had an ambitious vision: to simplify grantmaking and fuel a movement to equitably and efficiently move money to those at the forefront of pivotal work. We are living proof that reimagining the way we give just makes sense.

When folks ask what makes the JustFund solution unique, I highlight these three aspects of our work:

  • We are people-centered. Our grantmaking solutions offer a seamless and holistic experience for funders and grantseekers.
  • We are built on trust. We believe money moves at the speed of trustand we are innovating new ways to give so that funders can move critical resources quickly, transparently and securely to communities that need it the most.
  • We are rooted in equity. Our common application and technology-first solutions to address common pain points in grantmaking and grantseeking make it easy and simple to seek and distribute resources.

It really is that simple.

If you are not yet a part of the JustFund community, we invite you to join the hundreds of funders opting into the common application and simplifying their grantmaking process. Sign up for a demo with me today and see how our solution can help you move money in alignment with your values.

In celebration and gratitude,
