Let’s Keep Building Together

Dear JustFund Community,

Our hearts continue to break with the injustices we are experiencing daily around the country and around the world. At JustFund, we exist to ensure communities historically excluded from traditional philanthropy have the resources they need to thrive. The need for philanthropy to change the way it gives has never been more evident than it is today. Rather than reinforce barriers and bottlenecks, philanthropy must fund with more trust and be willing to take more risks to ensure we collectively address the injustices disproportionately affecting marginalized communities.

Currently, the JustFund platform works to move money to communities here at home working at the intersections of racial and social justice, across a range of issues, utilizing a variety of strategies, all designed to ensure people who are closest to the issues have the financial resources to address the diverse needs of their communities.

This feels like a simple and straightforward goal. In reality, however, we have a lot of work to do if we’re going to systematically change the way money moves to impact lives around the world.

Big change starts small and already, this incredible, growing community has welcomed over 140 funds to the JustFund platform, each committed to making their grantmaking simple and easy and making sure their networks have access to a straightforward, common application that allows them to put their time back into their missions.

We have a lot in store for the JustFund platform in the months ahead and we’re excited to be rolling out new features and products designed to offer philanthropy a new way to give: one that is rooted in equity and built on trust.

There’s a lot of work to do – let’s keep building together.
