over $300 million moved

$300 Million Moved

It was only 15 months ago that we announced a major milestone: $200 million moved via the JustFund platform. Today, I’m thrilled to share that we’ve surpassed the $300 million mark!

When we launched JustFund in 2017, the vision to simplify grantmaking as we know it and figure out an easy, seamless way to move money to communities that have been historically excluded from traditional philanthropy.

The swiftness in which funders have moved money to community-based and BIPOC-led organizations is a testament to the growing desire in philanthropy to align values and practice. As the only nonprofit platform that sits at the unique intersection of grants management, nonprofit fundraising, and networking technology, our one-of-kind solution simplifies grantmaking and grantseeking. JustFund takes care of the transactional pieces for funders engaged in grantmaking and connects applicants to hundreds of funding opportunities in one place, using one profile. We are living proof that reimagining the way we give just makes sense.

Since our founding, we’ve worked with hundreds of funding partners, including the Emergent Fund, East Bay Community Foundation, Newman’s Own Foundation, Omidyar Network, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Way to Rise, Zoom Cares, and Decolonizing Wealth’s Liberated Capital Funds

Together, we have supported and championed critical work and saved applicants 43 years of time. This achievement wouldn’t be possible without our community’s shared vision to center equity in grantmaking and prioritize what matters most: getting money to communities that need it.

Seven years ago, I was determined to find an answer to the question: What if we eliminated friction points in philanthropy and funders could just fund frontline groups doing critical work in their communities?

Since then, the majority of grants on JustFund have gone to communities serving Black, Latinx, women, immigrant, and LGBTQ+ communities. Today, I am certain that we are transforming the future of philanthropy and permanently changing the way we give. I’m looking forward to our next milestone. Let’s JustFund, together.

In celebration,
