Changing the Way Nonprofits Apply for Funding

Dear JustFund Community,

Did you know that JustFund is the nation’s first – and only – national common application grantmaking solution? We launched the common proposal in 2017 with three funds: Solidaire NetworkThe Emergent Fund, and Defending the Dream Fund. We moved about $200K in our first year of operating and over 800 organizations were able to utilize the common grant application.

Applying for a grant takes on average 15-25 hours for an organization and can cost nonprofits up to $5,000 just to apply for fundingThat means, in our first year alone, by running three grant cycles through JustFund’s common application, we saved these organizations thousands of hours, days, and staff time that they could dedicate towards mission advancing work, instead of filling out tedious grant applications.

Since our launch year, JustFund has received over 6,700 applications via our common proposal, and moved over $150M through our equity-centered grantmaking solution.

We are so grateful to our innovative partners who are took the plunge with us to launch the common grant application and the hundreds of JustFunders who are now normalizing the practice of reducing the burden on grantees and making it simple and easy to apply for funding.

If you are an organization with a common proposal on JustFund, log in today and see what open funds are running open grant cycles. If you are moving money and are looking for an equitable grantmaking solution, join our growing community of JustFunders working to reset philanthropy for good!

Warmly,

Iara Peng, Founder & CEO
